PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT THAT DEMANDS STATUS.
UNIQUE 3D BRICK SLIP FOR ECCENTRICITY. <br/>IN TERMS OF FORM, COLOUR AND TILING EFFECT.
FROM FORMER RAILWAY STATION AREA TO MUSEUM DISTRICT.
The future is designed here using visualisation of the past - and using clinker brick slips.
The era in which Europe’s high society was welcomed here by a majestic station were admittedly long gone. It took a long hibernation period before the points of the railway station area could be reset. A completely different visitor magnet has now been created for the future. Bad Homburg commemorates is legendary motorcycle manufacturing industry and provides a monument to the cult brand Horex at the former railway station. The museum for vintage motorcycles is intended not just as a driver of change for the newly created service provision and commercial area.
The museum is also intended to push the envelope in architectural terms. Designed in the form of a stylised Horex single-cylinder engine, the huge curving front window brings to mind cooling fins with its horizontal metal struts. The design link between the museum and the listed station building was then solved very cleverly for the other buildings: modern rounding - classic clinker facade. But with high-tech brick slip quality.
