We live clinker and ceramics. We are doers. Since 1884.
We combined our traditional manufacturing expertise with state-of-the-art clinker ceramics engineering and cutting-edge surface coating technologies. Using a wide variety of compositions of over 50 quality clays, we create natural products fired in shape and design, which we cut from a moist, malleable clay bar and then high-performance sinter in high-temperature firing. Sustainable and energy-efficient, needless to mention. We rely on natural ingredients and reactions, which we use with great flair and experience in a purposeful approach to achieve unique surfaces and fascinatingly natural color spectra.

We assume responsibility for climate protection and the energy turnaround in Germany as an energy-intensive production company. Therefore, we have committed ourselves to ecologically compatible and sustainable manufacturing processes.
Our tiles and clinker brick slips are manufactured exclusively in modern and efficient production facilities. High energy efficiency, the use of state-of-the-art waste gas purification systems for reduced emissions, and the resource-conserving use of natural raw materials obtained in proximity to our manufacturing facilities are integral components of our active environmental and production management. Residues from the production process of our ceramics, such as firing and drying residues, glaze residues or water, are entirely recycled and returned to the production cycle as secondary raw materials. Waste heat from the firing process is used to dry the ceramics in the upstream manufacturing process. Throughout the company, we rely 100% on green power from alternative and renewable energy sources.
The Ströher Group‘s active energy management is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001. Energy efficiency is thus an integral part of investment decisions and a key evaluation and decision-making criterion in the procurement of raw materials, products, services or machinery and equipment. We have been testifying the sustainability of our products since 2011 with the IBU seal of the Institute for Building and the Environment, which stands for the highest possible neutrality and credibility as an independent eco-label. Our declared goal is to enable and promote sustainable construction.
